Low cost band practice rooms located at Brunswick Mill, just outside of Manchester city centre.

Pay-per-session (approx 4 hour session)

Large room with PA and drum kit shell: £20 + £2 per amp hired.

We have a selection of amps, mics, mic stands and decent PAs. For drummers, we have snares and kick pedals (practice cymbals can be hired for £5). However, it is better for drummers to bring their own equipment which they will be familiar to. The drum skins are well-maintained.

We are flexible with the starting times, just give us a call. If we’re not busy you can rehearse longer at no extra cost.

Secure Lock Up Rooms in the City Centre and Brunswick Mill

Does your band rehearse more than once a week? Then by far the cheapest and most convenient solution is to have your own sound-proofed room. These rooms can be shared or taken on by a single band. We have rooms at Brunswick Mill, Bradford Road, Manchester, and in Manchester City centre above Kraak, Stevenson Square. Several rooms are currently available. Here is a rough guide of the prices:

Brunswick Mill
Sharing, from £110 pcm – £140 pcm
Own room, from £240 pcm

City Centre, Stevenson Square
Sharing, from £180 pcm

There are no other bills on top of these monthly amounts.

Art Studio/Office Space at Kraak Gallery

This side room to Kraak Gallery/NQ Studio (Stevenson Square), measures 5.9m by 3.75m. It has fantastic views overlooking the roof of the Manchester Police Museum. Discounted rates for NQ Studio can be made for the occupant. The room is not sound proofed so cannot be used for making loud music. Call Dom 07855939129 for more details.

Permanent Rooms at Brunswick Mill

Several rooms are currently available at at Brunswick Mill. Some of the rooms have bands in them who are waiting to share with another band. There are also some rooms which are completely empty. All of the rooms are soundproofed to a good standard.

From £250 (£125 sharing) per calender month, no other bills.

- One of the UK’s first independent music websites and one that’s still with you today – bigger and better – First published in 1999, the webzine provides an innovative independent focus on new music, both regional / nationally and signed / unsigned. The MM website and all its activities are undertaken by a (happy) band of volunteers and contributors who gladly – and like heroes of the state – give their time for free. No one gets paid or takes any money and the whole operation is within a legitimate non-profit framework. The website is unfunded and is not owned by any publishing, media or any one connected with the general entertainment industry. We don’t like to self publicise too much, but many bands and artists have been supported by the website and many national headline acts had their very first reviews on the MM pages. People who take pictures , write words, or who do creative stuff have started here at MM and moved on to professional qualification / education courses (eg. journalism, where references and experience are pre-requisites to registration); being successfully self employed; working for newspapers and magazines; and even working on Sony Australias web site … all using MM as a reference / portfolio.. Which makes us very happy – and quite proud to be accepted as a platform for new music and all that comes with it… Believe the truth – MM is THE biggest Music Only review site for Manchester and the region and was of course the first, almost a decade ago.
